The Liberal Democrats have long campaigned against a 3rd Heathrow runway both locally and nationally as the only party in government ruling out any expansion.

Lib Dem Councillor Sir David Williams has led the campaign against Heathrow expansion and limiting night flights to emergencies only. We are raising the issue on a national scale and have discussed local worries with transport minister Norman Baker.

With top Conservatives supporting a 3rd Heathrow runway we will present our petition to David Cameron next year making Richmond’s stance clear on these damaging proposals.
