Reopen our Police Stations and Put More Police on our Streets

Locally, a number of police stations have been closed, including those in Richmond town centre and in Teddington. This has had a severe impact on local police presence.

As Liberal Democrats, we want a return to community policing, with more police on the streets of our local neighbourhoods, and to have our police stations reopened. We believe this would deter crime, enable the police to respond to incidents faster and reintegrate the police into our local communities.

That's why we are calling on the Mayor of London to reopen local police stations and put more police on our streets, so we can return to proper community policing, where officers are visible, trusted and known personally to local people.

Back our campaign, by signing the petition below.

“We the undersigned call on the Mayor of London to reopen police stations in Richmond upon Thames and put more police on our borough’s streets, so we can return to proper community policing, where officers are visible, trusted and known personally to local people.”
