Whitton Trains

The withdrawal of three of Whitton’s semi-fast morning peak-time services - the 7:30, 8:00 and 8:30am services to Waterloo  - is being ‘reviewed’  by SWR in light of the many objections received from local residents and commuters using the popular station.

Vince Cable MP and Lib Dem councillors wrote to the Chief Exec of Southwestern Railways (SWR) last year to ask for a rethink, and made similar requests at a recent Transport Liaison Meeting. There are several ways that semi-fast services can be maintained, indeed increased, for Whitton.

I call upon South Western Railway to maintain the existing morning peak time service from Whitton station including the 07:30, 08:00 and 08:30am services to London Waterloo.
