Alison Bennett became the Member of Parliament for Mid Sussex in 2024 and is currently the Lib Dems' spokesperson for Care and Carers. Prior to her election to parliament she was a serving district councillor, and Deputy Leader on Mid Sussex District Council, so certainly knows a thing or two about councils and getting elected!

Join Bobby Dean MP, Liberal Democrat Shadow Leader of the House who will be leading the canvassing session in Stockwell East with Candidates David Whitaker and Tam Lamgley. This is a very winnable ward for the Lib Dems if we get out and talk with enough voters. The evening will end with an optional social event to meet Bobby, David and Tam to hear what is happening in politics and discuss what is important to you.
The evening will feature Victoria Collins MP, Vice President of the Liberal Democrats with responsibility for ethnic minorities and other speakers linked to our communities. This is a great opportunity to socialise with our candidates and make connections with ESEA voters in your community.
A Brand New venue this year at the sumptuous Peacock Restaurant - a sumptuous cocktail bar, the soaring ceilings and Edwardian architecture of County Hall with views over the river to the Palace of Westminster and more.
Start the evening at the cocktail bar and then move through to the restaurant for a sit-down traditional New Year Dinner on peacock blue velvet seats. Enjoy the speeches, the camaraderie, the very special prize being offered for auction and of course enter our famed Raffle.

Daisy Cooper MP, will be joined by Herts County Councillors Helen Campbell and Chris Lucas to talk about life as a councillor, what’s rewarding and challenging, the importance of having a diverse team taking decisions, and how to balance the role with work, caring or other responsibilities.

Chris Annous, Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate for Greenwich and Woolwich in 2024, will give a presentation on voters’ perceptions of the Liberal Democrats and what it should mean for the party’s strategy. Chris is a professional pollster and his presentation is based on extensive polling results. We think that that it will be a very interesting evening and we hope that you will be able to join us.
