Fighting against the TDRA
Thames Water are seeking to build a pipeline on the Ham Lands, that will pump million of litres of treated sewage into the river, fundamentally altering the character and ecology of our stretch of river. The Thames is at the heart of our community, and is valued by the walkers, swimmers, anglers and rowers who use it every day.
The Liberal Democrats are opposed to Thames Water's Teddington Direct River Abstraction (TDRA) proposals, and will continue to use every tool available to protect our river and the Ham Lands. Thames Water has plunged itself into billions of pounds’ worth of debt, yet it’s customers who are paying the price.
Munira Wilson MP and Sarah Olney MP have written to the Secretary of State for the Environment to protest the TDRA. See their letter below!
