Meet your ward candidates for North Richmond
Meet our candidates for North Richmond, Nancy, Richard and Richard. They bring experience and a desire to make North Richmond a better place for everyone.
Nancy, Richard and Richard are committed to:
✓ Improving community safety in North Richmond
✓ Continuing to invest in road and pavement repairs, making road crossings and cycling safer
✓ Ensuring developments occur considerately and legally
Nancy Baldwin
Nancy Baldwin has loved making real tangible improvements as a councillor for the last eight years, and hopes to do so for four more.
Raised in America, Nancy has lived most of her life in North Richmond, and still lives on the same corner where she raised her family.
Nancy has always been community focused, having founded a playgroup on Richmond Hill which she ran for nearly thirty years, and which is still going.
Richard Pyne
Richard is standing for re-election because he wants to continue to represent his community in a time of great change.
The Manor Road/Homebase development and the Mortlake Brewery development will pose big challenges for residents, and Richard wants to ensure that the construction goes as smoothly as possible, because it matters.
Richard is very involved in the local community, having recently served as Mayor, and is a trustee of three local groups and charities.
For many years, Richard has served as a volunteer at Kew Gardens. Drawing on all that horticultural knowledge, he regularly opens his garden for charity.
Richard's interests include quizzing, and he has appeared on ITV's The Chase, where his team went up against Ann Hegerty, aka the Governess, and won!
Richard Warren
Richard Warren is running in North Richmond because we need a strong centre to stop Britain from being pulled apart by the extremes of left and right.
Previously, Richard has worked as a journalist in London and Hong Kong, and is now redeploying his skills to case working. Richard is passionate about new ideas that solve old problems, which is why he enjoys chairing the council's Policy and Performance Review Board, because it is all about innovation and improvement.
