Hands Off Richmond’s Funding
Richmond Council is facing a major reduction in Government funding, with around £29 million less each year by 2028.
That could put further pressure on the services residents depend on — from support for older people and families to road repairs, homelessness prevention and support for people with disabilities.
Richmond Council has worked hard to manage its finances responsibly, finding savings and reducing waste while continuing to invest in our communities.
Now, we need the Government to do its part.
We’re calling on the Labour Government to:
- Stop the proposed £29 million-a-year funding reduction
- Give Richmond a fairer and smoother transition to the new funding arrangements
- Protect the vital local services residents rely on
