Richard, Charlie and Phil are committed to:
✓ Prioritising community safety in Teddington
✓ Delivering new affordable housing on the old Elleray site, and ensuring the old police station is available for the community
✓ Continuing to support clean water and air by opposing the Thames Direct River Abstraction project, and the third runway at Heathrow
Richard Baker
Richard Baker has been a Teddington resident for over forty years, where he raised his family and represented the town as a Councillor.
Professionally Richard has worked in corporate banking, and in his spare time he enjoys watching rugby and cricket.
Richard has been extremely interested in local politics and wants to be re-elected to continue making a positive impact for his home and community. During his first term as Councillor, Richard was appointed Business Spokesperson. He has been a member of the Planning, Transport, Finance, Policy and Resources Committees.
Charlie Engel
Having been raised locally and lived in the borough for thirty-nine years, Charlie Engel is committed to working for the community he has known all his life.
Charlie is particularly keen to hold the Housing Associations to account, and achieving fair and dignified living conditions for Teddington's residents.
Charlie works in Higher Education, and is passionate about student welfare. He also holds season tickets to Harlequins.
Phil Giesler
Phil Giesler has lived in Teddington for ten years, following an industrial career that took him to postings in Milan and San Francisco. Phil loves Teddington. Its close-knit community is always open to fresh ideas and new people.
Phil has been the Business Lead on the council for the past four years, and is proud of the council's record of supporting local high streets through a turbulent period.
Phil is excited for the future as the Growth Plan will bring the borough to life.
